Cahors Anglican Church
We have been worshipping in Cahors since 1964. Our congregation started with home-meetings and has met over the years in two Roman Catholic chapels.
We now worship in the chapel of the Roman Catholic Centre Paroissial in Terre Rouge on the second and fourth Sunday mornings of the month at 10h00. We attract an average congregation of 20 or more, some members travelling 60km to be with us on Sundays. Services on the major festivals are well-attended, our Christmas Carol services being especially popular. We have strong ecumenical links to the other Christian churches in the area.
Members contribute to our worship by helping to lead services, reading, and serving refreshments.
We have a varied programme of fundraising – Produce & Plant Sale, Hats & Scarves sale, The Great British Breakfast (October) and a Christmas Fayre (December).
Since Covid we have started “Forging Unity and Fellowship” by going out to lunch in Cahors – 15 people regularly attend and for special events over 25 people. This is a great place to live, and our worship and fellowship really add to the experience.
