The Lord's Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
And the power, and the glory,
For ever and ever,

A Prayer for Those Affected by the Wild Fires
Loving and merciful God, we come to you with heavy hearts for all those whose lives have been touched by fire. In this time of fear and uncertainty, draw near with your steady presence. Bring safety to those still in danger, courage to those who must flee, strength to firefighters and emergency workers, and deep comfort to families facing loss, disruption, and heartbreak.
Shelter those who have been displaced and now find themselves without home or familiar ground. Heal those who have been injured, and tend gently to every wound seen and unseen. Surround grieving hearts with your compassion and hope, and remind them they are not alone in their sorrow.
Grant wisdom, endurance, and protection to all who are working tirelessly to help—first responders, volunteers, and neighbours alike. Awaken generosity and kindness in communities near and far, that support may rise quickly and abundantly where it is needed most.
May the flames be contained, the winds be stilled, and the skies clear. And in the days that follow, may peace return to every home, every family, and every place affected. We offer this prayer through Jesus Christ our Lord,
